Ms. Figueroa has specialized in providing services to insurers, employers, specialized entities such as PBM´s, TPA´s, and others in the areas of: product development and market analysis; development of insurance products for commercial business (corporate and direct pay); marketing plans and campaigns; clinical policies; Human Resources outsourcing administrative services. Development of strategies related to communications, process and procedures for Medicare Advantage Part D product launch and new enhanced benefits for medical benefits. In addition, Ms. Figueroa is also proficient in developing and implementing market planning strategies to support sales and renewals for the Medicare Advantage market, as well as successful member retention strategies.

Ms. Figueroa also has extensive experience in the design and creation of health insurance packages for groups, firms, etc. as well as for implementing and monitoring servicing strategies and presenting health, life, property, and casualty insurance proposals to companies and individuals. Ms. Figueroa also has expertise in risk management and loss control strategies for all coverage risks.

Ms. Figueroa has held a number of high level executive positions in two of the leading health insurers in Puerto Rico. She has held the positions of AVP and VP of Marketing and Sales at Medical Card systems (MCS). Prior to her years at MCS, Ms. Figueroa worked for 22 years at Triple-S Health in the Marketing and Sales Divisions. Currently, Ms. Figueroa divides her time between consulting engagements and her role as Managing Partner at Myriad Benefits Incorporated.

Ms. Figueroa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Puerto Rico, a Master’s Degree in Marketing from Interamerican University in Puerto Rico, and specialized studies in the Wharton School of Business in Competitive Marketing, Industrial Marketing and New Product Development. She also holds the following industry designations and certifications: Certified by the Health Insurance Association of America as an Health Insurance Associate (HIA); Certified as a Managed Health Professional (MHP); Certified by the American Academy for Healthcare Management (CHC). In addition to her academic preparation and industry designations, Ms. Figueroa has also received the following honors or awards: Distinguished Women in Business for 2005 and Business Women of Excellence for 2005.
